The research paper is HERE! My professor went through our class syllabus at the beginning of our course, so I was familiar about this ten page 2500 word research paper that is majority of our grade. To be honest I was more focused on this research paper at the beginning than anything else. I was searching topics and calling all of my siblings for help!

The start of the paper was the hardest because once I can get started, it normally just flows for me. I chose a topic that I have researched on before so I could be very familiar with content. I had to think about what I could elaborate on for ten pages. I found many sources to gain information from and began the confusing format of the annotated bibliography. I was relaxed at first knowing in my mind I had plenty of time to work on this research paper. I didn't hit me that trying to juggle my assignments from my other courses limited my time to work on this research paper. The time flew by me and my biggest mistake was not timing myself. I was forced to cram everything to make the due date. What a headache!

When I finally got a thesis statement, I was able to make an argument and research my points as well as research my opposing view. It was funny that my opposing view had more length on what I could argue about but nevertheless I stuck with my argument. My sisters are about to graduate and one of my sisters is a English major so I definitely had the help of elaborating each point I wanted to argue. Without them, I honestly can say I would be an emotional wreck.

It was coming time that my paper was finally finished! I didn't know how well I did but I had the faith and confidence so I prayed on it. This is the first time I ever had to write such a lengthy paper and I was proud of myself because I thought it was impossible. Now I have something to look back on for my courses in the futr

This semester has been a roller coaster for me. Many struggles and many achievements. I would not have thought English came out to be a challenge for me. I never had a problem with any English courses I took prior. That was a rude awakening!

The beginning of the semester was all good until the second paper was due. I had a bit struggle with paper two because it was an analysis, I wasn't quite familiar with how to organize that type of paper. I was stressed out for every paper that was assigned to me and trying to keep up with my blog posts that was due every week. When the research paper was assigned, I was totally lost. The thought about a ten page minimum paper blew me right away. It took days just to choose a topic. Critical but I got through it!. Thank God!

The End is almost near! I'm still pushing for Excellence!

“Changing the Face of Poverty” by Diana George is meant from what I understand to say that American organizations, and people against poverty, generally give poverty the wrong face in this country as others agree. Organizations such as “Habitat for Humanity”, "Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly", and "Home for abused women" give off the impression that when we think of poverty we should think of a third world country, and people who look sad because they don’t have a home. Quoted in the article was, "You don't have to leave your country to find third-world poverty". Instead poverty is all around us and that it can be very hard to recognize and understand. Well I’m well aware that most people living in poverty in this country don’t look like they live in third world country, and they don’t go on camera to look all torn up and sad about how their living conditions. Diana George specifically chose Habitat for Humanity to elaborate more on for the simple fact that it is more popular and far-reaching nonprofit with affiliates not only in  the United States but throughout the world. Regardless of how people live in poverty, they should be treated as needed, and Professor George is wrong to criticize organizations like Habitat for Humanity saying they give poverty “the wrong face,” and that they are wrong to tell people they can make a difference by helping such organizations, because they can for those who need housing. But she is right in the sense that those are not the only kind of people living in poverty, a lot of those people can be people just struggling to raise their children, keep a job, and a house at the same time. These people deserve help when they ask for it!

Homeless on Campus was a very touching and emotional short story. Though hard data are lacking, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid estimates that there are 58,000 homeless students on campuses nationwide. Eleanor J. Bader briefly explained to her readers that it is not easy juggling school as well as being homeless. Several students went through tough hardships dealing with families, money, and some students had children of their own to tag along on this severe journey. Many traveled as far as two hours everyday just to make it to class and soon had to come to realization to their professors about their current situation. I pray and keep these individuals in my heart.

Introduction

Equinox is located at four different locations in the state of Illinois. The four locations are Highland Park, Lincoln Park, the Gold Coast, and the facility I evaluated was the Chicago loop location; located at 200 W. Monroe Street with hours of operation. Equinox is a commercial/club setting open to the public. Equinox has six specified areas for working out. The gym offers a yoga studio that is also used for the group fitness classes, Pilate’s studio with the original Pilate’s equipment, sauna room, steam room, and a cycling room. In this two story gym the second floor is where all the equipment is located. Equinox hosts fifty cardio machines ranging from ellipticals, treadmills, bicycles, and stair climbers. A really neat machine that Equinox possesses is the power plate. In addition to the cardio machines there are free weights and a wide variety of strength machines available.

On staff Equinox has twenty-seven personal trainers in their different tiers available during hours of operation. Tier 1 consists of the trainer being able to develop programs designed to achieve a strong, sound fitness foundation, including base cardiovascular health, muscular strength, endurance and flexibility. Tier 2 the trainer is capable of developing programs designed to achieve strength, balance, conditioning, and coordination. The tier 2 trainers possess a solid coaching experience and are skilled problem solvers who can address a variety of fitness and weight management issues. Tier 3 personal trainers are seasoned coaches who have distinguished themselves with exceptional problem solving, leadership and program development skills. The highest level a personal trainer can reach with Equinox is tier 4; top level personal training with customized on-going nutritional coaching to maximize results for the client. Each tier personal trainer offers four different sessions. The sessions available are single, twelve, twenty-four, and forty-eight. Each different tier of personal trainer has different prices per session. Tier 1 single session is $90, twelve is $86 per session amounting to $1032, twenty-four is $83 amounting to $1992, and forty-eight at $79 equaling $3792. Tier 2 single $100, twelve is $95 amounting to $1140, twenty-four is $92 amounting to $2208, and forty-eight $87 equaling $4176. Tier 3 single is $110, twelve sessions is $105 equaling $1260, twenty-four sessions at $101 coming out to $2424, and forty-eight sessions at $96 resulting in $4608. Last but not least tier 4 single session is $120, twelve is $115 ending in $1380, twenty-four at $111 amounting $2664, and forty-eight sessions at $106 per session totaling at $5088. All sessions expire six months from date of purchase, as well as all sales are final.

The club rates that Equinox offers are the single location in the loop monthly dues of $136 with an initiation fee of $395. The Chicago access rate has an initiation fee of $525 with monthly dues of $152. The all access rate requires an initiation fee of $645 and monthly dues of $178. Equinox does offer and executive membership that has an initiation fee of $645 and monthly dues of $235 which includes all access, private executive locker room, permanent oversized locker, laundry service, internet access, Wi-Fi access, Fiji water, and fruit. There is also a new membership benefits package that offers and equifit evaluation, personal training session, private Pilate’s session, two one week memberships, and two one day guest passes totaling to $830.

The demographics of Equinox are primarily the business white collar working class above the age of thirty. The bulk of business is between the hours of 11am to 1pm. Group classes are offered in that allotted time frame however majority of the classes are offered earlier in the morning and later in the evening. Equinox does offer laundry services, lockers on hand, cool towels during workouts, and coat check, on top of the spa in each specified locker room.

Safety

Equinox did not have a posted emergency response evacuation plan unless it was behind the check in counter it was not accessible to the main floor where clients are working out. The staff is educated and qualified to execute the emergency response/evacuation plan. AED’s were on site to assist in the potential risk of someone undergoing cardiac arrest. The facility was very clean and exceptionally well kept. There were no physical or environmental hazards to the naked eye. The facility was properly lit in certain locations of the gym but not the entire gym it’s self. Heating, cooling and ventilation were adequate. Equinox does not have a parking issue as it is valet parking only.

Programs

Equinox offers all the type of exercise programs I am interested in; they offer personal training, aerobics, strength training, yoga, pilates, and spinning. All exercise programs are developed by qualified nationally certified exercise instructors and will be modified to meet the member’s needs. This facility does make specialized programs related to medical conditions but not for specific age groups. Equinox demographics consist of adults, no children, infants, or adolescents. Equinox does offer fitness assessments and personalized exercise programs on request and if personal training is what the member is inquiring.

Business Practices

The staff at Equinox does not pressure you into purchasing a membership, the staff lets the gym and amenities speak for themselves. At this particular facility the membership fee does not fit into my budget even though there are different memberships offered with all the service fees posted this facility is too expensive for young adults. A consumer friendly task that Equinox performs is emailing and mailing out forms/bulletins informing members of any changes in charges, services, and policies. At time of membership signing Equinox provides you with a written set of rules and policies regarding the facility and informs the members of their own set of responsibilities.

For starters, I Love Rihanna.
Rihanna is a
Barbadian recording artist,
actress, and fashion designer. She has sold over 30 million albums and 120 million singles worldwide, which makes her one of
the best-selling artists of all time. The best thing about her is she surprises you everytime. It is nothing normal about her but she is extremely exotic.
I Love Exotic!

In this promiscuous video, you will find that Rihanna is a young, sexual, and an adventurous type of girl. She reaches out to us about the one she loves and what it takes for her tofall hard for a guy. As you watch the video, you realize the limited clothes that she wears initiates the sex drive she has for this guy. Rihanna doesn't use color in this video because it shows the exotic side of her and it's more of her style of the way she does things. She shootes the video in a four wall room with a checker box pattern majority of the video that really draws your attention. It's abnormal and that's what she wants because most videos use color. Am I right? The chorus sings, "You the one that I dream about all day. You the one that I think about  always. You Are The One So I Make Sure I Behave! My love is your love, your love is my love". The anonomyous guy she is singing about is as we know "THE ONE" and everything she does and everything about her is because of "THE ONE". She also explains their sexual intercourse which also makes her so crazy about him. The video is amazing. I think you would enjoy it.
